Episode 2326 from Oct. 9, 1975. Doesn't appear to be circulating.

Does anyone still have a working helical scan VTR? I would guess that would mean it's in black and white.

As excited as I was for the 16mm pilot to turn up, I have a hard time getting worked up over just another Hollywood Squares episode.  Circulating or not, there are hundreds of others that pretty much look just like it.  And yeah, I've never been able to transfer that tape format.  Got a feeling this one will remain unclaimed.

Do we at least know who the guests were that week?

Was wondering about that because this is something I would have liked to contribute toward to if someone had the resources and was willing to copy again. I understand that this sounds unworkable now.

The seller's description notes that "I got it at an estate sale of a retired NBC Exec", which kinda leaves me wondering if this episode was saved for any particular reason.

Do we at least know who the guests were that week?
Per Dixon Hayes (via Internet Archive), the celebs were Earl Holliman, Nanette Fabray, Robert Blake, Kevin Tighe, Paul Lynde, Kaye Ballard, George Gobel, Florence Henderson, and Harvey Korman.

I wonder why NBC would have made a helical scan copy of the episode in the first place.

If someone knew of a way to transfer I would contribute.     To me a lost episode from the daytime version is worth adding since our chief representation is the nighttime one for this era.

Would offer to flat out pay for this outright IF I had a way to convert it to a suitable modern format.  Love this era of Squares, and definitely always game to help contribute to recovering/preserving episodes - even ones that might see fairly generic or common.

A quick Google search leads me to this place near St. Louis.  Anybody heard of it?

I'm in the same boat.  I'd be more than happy to pay for this outright; I love daytime Squares and would love to get this digitized and online for everyone to see.
