Favorite TPiR season premiere opening?
« on: March 23, 2013, 12:37:30 PM »

Looking at some of the openings for the TPiR season premieres, my favorite one is the 19th season premiere...If for nothing but that big banner that drops right before Barker\'s entrance that says \"19 years  - Still #1\"....Anyone else have a favorite?

I like the one where they made sure that the games were set up to win easily, they gave away a lot of big prizes and then soon after that they made the games very hard to win because they had given away too much in the season premiere.

Not a season premiere, but I like the intro for the first hour-long episode from Nov 3, 1975 - \"starting today...\"

Didn\'t \'Triple Play\' debut on a season opener?

It did.  Season 29.

It was a golden age of daytime network television... Game Shows... Hosted by people who actually knew that the game was the star... And I wish it was still that way - both that game shows were on all morning and that they were hosted by actual game show hosts. - Bob Purse, Inches Per Second
