That Friday show from week 1 is gonna be interesting. Not to throw Tom Cubbage under the bus but finalists in the last two big money tournaments? Yes please.

Then don't. He's one of two grand champions who got there by winning a play-in tournament. And we'll see the other one at the end of March.

That Friday show is going to be some impressive stuff. Three titans of the game competing.

Just looking at records alone, it looks like Andrew Westney got the worst draw, playing against Leslie Frates and Leszek Pawlowicz. Phoebe Juel has a tough road against Frank Spangenberg and Mark Lowenthal as well.

Be sure to note if your NBC affiliate carries the show in prime access that the Friday show will likely be pre-empted due to Olympics opening ceremonies.

Anywhere between 7.5 and 10.5 hours delayed. God, NBC, you suck.

/so excited to have CBC for this one

Be sure to note if your NBC affiliate carries the show in prime access that the Friday show will likely be pre-empted due to Olympics opening ceremonies.

NBC's coverage of the Olympics starts on Thursday that week.

You are correct, however coverage on Feb. 6 does not begin until 8pm ET, start of typical primetime.  The Friday Feb. 7 coverage of the Opening Ceremonies begins a half hour earlier; this is typical for NBC's Olympics coverage.

Enjoy your day!
