Wink Martindale developing Celebrity Sweepstakes redo
« on: May 26, 2013, 03:33:13 PM »

You\'re not going to see a press release on this, at least not anytime soon, but at a quasi-public event this afternoon, Wink told an assembled group of largely game show fans that he had acquired the rights from Burt Sugarman Productions and had developed a \"21st century\" version of the celeb Q&A game for The Gurin Company.  He says they\'ll be pitching it to networks in the next couple of weeks.

This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Years ago, Burt Sugarman contacted me (little old me!) to see if I had Ralph Andrews\' contact information so that he could get the rights for the show (which I think were back with Andrews at the time) - because someone there had seen my web page.  (And yes, I did have Ralph Andrews\' e-mail address.)

And if any Kardashian appears, the odds will be 99 to 1 for every question.

Yes, but unlike Carol Wayne, that will be entirely accurate handicapping.
