What was your source? I'm curious.I got mine from the Reading (PA) Eagle's Sunday TV section..

This is one of those things that I've had around for so long that I can't even remember anymore whether or not I've gone public with it. Suffice it to say, though, that this particular source being wrong would be kind of strange.

Documentation from Roger or someone else highly placed at TPIR back in the day?

Here's a thought:

No doubt it will take a LONG time to piece together ALL 1,578 episodes of the daytime edition. But we can, however, try to nail down the airdates for some of them, during the shopping era (1983 to 1984).

To start with, David Dickstein, who was a contestant on the 7/12/83 episode, said that on the next episode, his male opponent, Richard Heft, took home the $82,000 jackpot. Supposedly, the cash jackpot was introduced on the 5/30/83 episode, and that Richard Heft became the first contestant to win it. If that's true, then it would mean Mort Camens' big win could have been anywhere between 1/3/83 and 5/30/83.

And also supposedly, the 2nd contestant to take home the daytime shopping cash jackpot was Barbara Phillips (8/9/83 episode). Now exactly who was the next person after her to do so, I don't know.

I'm curious...

Did USA ever air any of the SOTC daytime or nighttime episodes that GSN skipped?
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

There's at least two skipped NBC episodes that are on the circuit because of the USA reruns; one's the 11/21/88 episode, and the other is a Christmas episode.

Let me rephrase....

GSN skipped a slew of 1988-89 episodes during the last run.

Did USA ever air them?
I'm curious if it was a damaged tape issue or GSN was too cheap to pay for any music related clearances?

Unfortunately, due to the forum's temporary shutdown and my DVD recorder now pushing up daisies, I've lost track in keeping up with what syndicated episodes of $ale have aired on GSN thus far. I believe I left off at #S-025. Has anyone else kept track? Should I page Vahan_Nisanian to the front desk?

Just to give everyone a heads-up...

I found the updated PDF schedules just now.  They go up to and including very early March, and it turns out that GSN leased approximately 65 episodes of the Syndicated $OTC - the last episode of the current lease is Ep. #S-068 (April 10, 1985), which airs on Friday, February 21.  They turn back the clock to the Syndicated Premiere from January 1985 on Monday, February 24.

Sources:

February 17-23, 2014

February 24-March 2, 2014

Makes me wonder if the next limited run will include the conclusion of the first season and the first many weeks of the second season?

And when in Season 2 did the Winner's Board first appear?

I've missed out on the majority of Skip's and Helaine's runs. How far did Skip go? (Spoiler space if needed)

Much appreciated.

the last episode of the current lease is Ep. #S-068 (April 10, 1985), which airs on Friday, February 21.

So we just make Alice Conkwright's win with two shows to spare.

Went for the car and lost; the two previous shows he won in a tiebreaker.
