Jimmy Kimmel segment "Who Knows?" becomes ABC pilot

Retitled Big Fan, Andy Richter will host.

I remember seeing this idea as far back as the early nineties on UK's Don't Forget Your Toothbrush.  A superfan competes against the very object of their fascination to see who knows more about that person.  Cute idea.

This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

ABC is certainly loading up on unscripted stuff....makes sense, as they don't have a ton of good repeat material outside of the comedies, and even that is a little suspect..

I remember at the turn of this century, when Jellyvision and Microsoft did this primitive online game called Outsmart, in which an online player "competed" against a celebrity, but without the "fan experience" prize that Big Fan offers.
