Related to a discussion of Penny Ante, which was described as not being hated by Bob Barker, has anyone heard any mentions of any games Bob actually dislikes?

I read on some newsgroup somewhere he doesn't like Hit Me (no reasons given).  When I e-mailed TPIR once about Split Decision being retired, they responded Bob didn't like the game and asked that it be retired.  At a taping, he said his favorite game is Hole in One.  He then goes on to say Plinko is the fan favorite, and It's In The Bag is also very popular with the audience.

Bullseye I and Double Digits were two games that Bob clearly hated.

I would think if there were games that Bob hates, it would be retired.

He probably likes some games more than others.

I know he loves It's in the Bag. It's not one of my favories.

I'm sure his dislike for Hit me probably has to do with explaining the rules and the contestants never get it.

I thought I heard that Bob disliked Superball, which led to its retirement.

 It's true.

It took too long to setup.

Super Saver was also retired because Bob was tired of explaining it's rules.

If only Joker, Pick a Number, and Poker Game were as complicated....

 Not true.

Something was explained wrong in the rules, it became an S&P issue, and it wasn't worth the hassle.

I can't imagine him liking "I don't know how to play the Check Game but everyone in the damn audience does" very much.

And I believe Bullseye I and Double Digits BOTH had complicated rules.

Bullseye I was just as complicated as Clock Game is.  It just wasn't won nearly as often.

Double Digits wasn't necessarily complicated - it was just not intuitive at all.  Temptation makes far better use of the concept of the digits in the price of a smaller prize corresponding to the digits in the price of a car.

It's fun to see innocuous conjecture and internet folklore being passed off as fact throughout the thread, though.

He's managed to turn that one into a running gag, though, and once you can do that and get a laugh most every time, you learn to stomach such inconveniences. :)

What about Ten Chances? He seems to me not to like contestants who don't end their price with a zero.

I think the problem with Super Saver was the trilons as opposed to Bob's like/dislike, that was the real reason the p.o.s. game was retired

I read on Marc's forum that he just isn't too crazy about Shell Game. Well, I'm not sure why, but it does see less frequent play in recent years.

Yeah, he does get a bit pissed about the contestants who don't end their prices in zero doesnt he. Right on.

Check Game: No brainer. How would you like to have to explain the game to somebody who claims to know it but doesn't have a clue how to play it?

It's not this issue but I don't think he cares for Master Key due to the fact he has to reach up a little and pull the key out on the wrong ones. They should drop this down just a bit so the ole man can reach it.

I'm standing by the S&P reason.
