Doing a little hunting around, it appears the nighttime Feud debuted on WKYC on Saturday, Sept. 24. A print ad for Feud appeared in the Plain Dealer on that date. A similar ad was in the following Saturday\'s PD, on 10/1/77.
Brandon, I\'ve searched through Broadcasting Magazine in the past, but never used, or was aware of that search engine. That makes things easier. Thank you.
One of those ads stated that Family Feud debuted on 53 stations in fall 1977. I\'m surprised it was only 53 - you\'d figure with a show that hot in daytime, it would have been more widely seen for its nighttime debut.
Keep in mind that only the top 50 markets were affected by the Prime Time Access Rule. The others could program reruns, movies, etc in the slot.
