Obama press conference affecting game shows...
« on: October 08, 2013, 02:26:29 PM »

President Obama is holding a news conference at the time I am writing this. Game shows (especially in the Mountain and Pacific time zones) may be pre-empted.

Yup, because game shows are more important than the Commander-In-Chief of our country addressing the biggest political issue currently. HEADS UP.

To that end, TPIR airs at 10 here in Pugetopia (well within the Pacific time zone), and we were subjected to both.

I\'m sure Brian thinks he\'s doing us a service, and he probably isn\'t going to stop. Adjust your expectations accordingly. I know I did.

To be fair, Brian didn\'t say that.  As Travis said, he thinks he\'s being helpful.  You can argue the merits of whether that\'s true or not, but you really can\'t (or at least shouldn\'t) accuse Brian of complaining about it.

This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

I consider it being helpful- passes along information that might be useful to the forum.

It\'s one of the few things Brian does that isn\'t a waste.
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012
