Family Feud 5th edition from Endless Games
« on: October 17, 2013, 07:31:04 PM »

I just got a copy of the newest edition, and found the home game play has changed, and may have been intended starting with their fourth edition (I say that because the instructions in my copy of the fourth edition are incomplete).

Like the fourth edition, no play money is included.

In the fifth edition, the three main rounds are played with a new rule--whenever ALL the answers to the survey question are guessed, the player/team winning the round receives 100 points regardless of the actual point total (or 200 points for the second round; 300 points for the third).  If not all the answers were guessed, the player/team winning the round, receives only the total number of points of the answers that were correctly guessed.

Fast Money (even though no real or play money is involved) is played by BOTH players/teams.  Each player is isolated until his/her turn comes up.  If either team/player racks up 200 points or more, the player/team receives an additional 500 points, and whoever has more points (regular points/FM round points combined) is declared the winner!

I still like the gameplay of the Strikeout! card deck better than just about anything that Family Feud has put in a box.

Because, of course, everybody is forced to play using the rules that come in the box, and not play by the TV rules.

I presume that this being the home game, none of the questions have the answer \"penis\"?

Given the small doses of Feud I\'ve seen this season, I\'m guessing the answers are more along the lines of \"Third Leg\", \"Pork Sword\", or \"Dang-a-lang-a-doo\".

Close. It was \"Name the sound a sheep makes when it explodes.\"
