TPIR's Joker looks like a Joke!

About once a year I will actually give thought to the worst Price is Right pricing Game. "Joker" is the worst piece of garbage the show has ever had. It's Way to cheezy of a game to even be included on the show. It doesn't even meet the high standards of the show. If they insist on keeping this heap of trash they should at least Build a new Set for it. "Let em Roll used to look kind of Cheezy until they gave the game a new awsome look. Now it's one of the better looking games (if not the best looking game) the show has. If they could do the same thing with "Joker" then maybe it would at least be tolerable.

 I dunno, man. You could use the Hit Me cards and a ton of chase lighting and Joker would still blow as a game.

 Wait a minute. You mean they haven't retired that ridiculous game yet?

They should just retire it and give Shell Game it's 2 playings.

Despite being the biggest, I actually think Plinko's set is quite cheesy.

It's only played about once every 4 weeks which makes it one of the least played games.

Next year the game will be in rotation for 10 years.

10 YEARS?
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

If it was played once a month, it would have about 7 playings.  It only had 2 last year, and 4 or 5 in season 30.

 I'm not sure if they have a "we'll play this game every 20 weeks".

2 playings last year?

Wow.

I, for one, would like to see Joker retired. One simple reason why:

You can still lose EVEN if you nail all 4 of the SP's (Small Prizes)!

 I really don't see the problem with that. There's always an element of suspense that way. I never really cared for Shell Game even with its bonus for picking the right shell.

Wait...did I just defend "Joker?"

 You can get all the true/false; higher/lower; which digit is correct prizes right on each of the following games and possibly lose...

*  Secret X
*  5 Price Tags
*  Punchboard ($50's better than nothing but it's still a loss)
*  Plinko
*  Pass the Buck

Do any of these games deserve to be retired even though none of them guarantee wins even if you play the game perfectly?

Nitpick: You won't lose 5 Price Tags if you play the game perfectly. :)

I dislike Secret X for that reason, as well as Joker. The cash games (including PtB) generally give you a better chance at *more* money if you price well; yes, $41,000 in Plinko, $9000 in PtB, and $5900 at the punchboard are officially losses, but they certainly don't feel as much like losses as failing to win anything, which you have a 1/3 chance of doing in Secret X (and 1/5 in Joker) with perfect pricing.

 4 small products and 5 price choices can still equal a loss, if the contestant is that dumb

 I realize that, but if you're picking wrong *prices*, you aren't playing the game perfectly, are you?

Well, even though it hasn't been done yet, I still think it'd be stupid to see a 5PT player lose after 4 choices!
