What Up With The Sound?
« on: January 02, 2014, 12:13:37 PM »
Since just before The $25,000 Pyramid ended this morning, the sound from The Network For Games has been kinda hinky. Are any of you experiencing this quality disruption? My other channels are coming through fine.

I've been noticing sound problems with some episodes of either the $25K Pyramid or the $100K Pyramid; I can't remember which.

It sounded as though they were speaking through a tin can or something.

The audio's out of synch by about 1 1/2 seconds here.

I've noticed that too at times.  So it's not just you and Don Howard.

I'm hearing it now on PYL on my SD box down here, but when I go upstairs and watch on my HD box, the sound sounds relatively normal (I don't have GSN in HD, though).

So I wonder if it might not be the box and how it's receiving the audio signal.

I heard some "boxy" sound on PYL earlier today, but it suddenly cut to normal later on [same TV, same U-Verse box, etc]. Also saw some nasty picture "jittering" issues with PYL yesterday! Glad SOTC's been fine....

Last 2 or 3 SOTC have had major sound issues. IT doesn't seem to be happening during Blockbusters, though.

Must be a major screw up with the tape conversion, I bet

Haven't been dvr'ing SOTC this time around, are the sound issues happening on the same episodes?
