('music cue:' Pomp & Circumstance)

January 3rd, 1961 marked a major milestone in the life of one Art James. For it was on this day that he graduated from announcer on the original Concentration to landing his VERY FIRST major game show hosting gig on a regular basis. What was the show, you ask? It was entitiled Say When!! A 'quasi-spinoff' of The Price is Right; no surprise there, both shows came from the Goodson-Todman factory.

Happy Anniversary, Art!  :-*

Cordially,
Tammy Warner--the 'Gail Sheldon of the Big Board!'

Indeed, I'm having a peanut butter sandwich right now in Art's honor.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

In addition, he's responsible for hosting the game show that inspired The Challengers: The WHO, WHAT, or WHERE Game!

Fortunately, all peanut butter jars nowadays are made of plastic.
