ABC News Gives 50th Anniversary Nod To Jeopardy

If you didn't catch ABC World News last night, they had a short feature on Jeopardy! which turned 50 on Sunday.

Definitely a nice piece worth watching, with glimpses of the first episode, the ill-fated NBC revival and even "Mr. Connery".

Happy 50th J!

It looks to actually be footage of a 1964 pilot, which is available for viewing at the various television museums.

More precisely, it was explained to me that this is a "test" episode that never aired.  It wasn't a pilot, because the show had already been sold.  Basically, something done to work out the kinks before going to air.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Has Trebek made any mention on air, or is that part of the Decades tournament?

Is there any particular reason why the Karen/Kent/Kim episode of Fleming J! still exists?

Impressive how the producer and/oe editor managed to work in all incarnations of the series into the piece.
