Sorry but I had never heard him announce anything before, I have had no chance to being in the UK. Only people I can compare him to are Johnny Olson, Rod Roddy and Rich Fields.

Fair enough. We have been enjoying his work since the mid-'80s.

In an effort to take this further away from Bag On the Foreign Guy Sunday, I will posit that Shadoe Stevens was the best thing going on Davidson Squares.

I didn't mind Jeffrey as a Squares announcer, but he was definitely no Shadoe. I know Jeffrey did some voice work aside from Hank Kingsley, but Shadoe worked better on HSq.

Interestingly enough, there's an episode of Larry Sanders where Hank fills in as a guest host...the "guest announcer" for the episode? Shadoe Stevens.

Having him as the announcer for Bergeron Squares was a terrific call; I was irked when he was replaced with Jeffrey Tambor. Great as George Bluth, lousy copy-reader.

I remember him as Hank Kingsley. Hey now!

I liked Tambor.

Now John Moschitta I could've done without.

I guess we'll just have to agree that you're wrong there. ;)

Good posit. I agree with this.
