GameTV gets Bergeron Squares
« on: October 08, 2014, 12:07:45 PM »
When its not airing movies(!?) and average quality reality shows (The Marriage Ref, seriously?), Canadian GSN equivalent GameTV actually airs a pretty decent slate of classics. Lately their theme seems to be "syndicated revivals from the late 1990's", given that we got Donnymid and The Dating Game earlier; but now it seems they've added a two-hour block of Tom Bergeron-era Hollywood Squares on Wednesday mornings and afternoons too. I'm presuming that the later block is just an encore of the earlier one, since a lot of Canadian cable channels tend to do that for some arcane reason.

They also picked up a single run of Celebrity Name Game for the benefit of those who can't see it on Citytv, along with 1 vs. 100 for some GSN redundancy, but as far as I know GameTV does not scrunch credits or throw their shows into a time compressor.
