Yet another new $25,000 Pyramid lease coming soon
« on: September 03, 2014, 06:45:07 PM »
Just checked the new PDFs on Game Show Follies. After GSN gets done airing the August 1985 episodes, they will acquire more episodes that they have never shown before, staring September 16. This time, they will start with the Marcia Wallace & Michael Dorn week (October 19-23, 1987).

Also, there'll be another hour of Let's Ask America; in the 3:00am (EST) slot. But it'll be starting from ep. #2001.

As for the next batch of $25kP, as Perry White would say "GREAT CAESAR'S GHOST!!!!!"

Cordially,
Tammy
In Loving Memory: Dolores "Roxanne" Rosedale (1929-2024) & Peter Marshall (1926-2024)

I thought for sure the final "season" of CBS Pyramid has aired.

Is Sept. 83 - mid 84 the last chunk not to air on the network?

Is Sept. 83 - mid 84 the last chunk not to air on the network?

It last aired from November 2001-January 2003. They started with the Alison La Placa & Tom Villard week (November 23-25, 1987), then showed the Battle of the CBS Soaps week (November 16-20, 1987), because they were going by production order. The lease then continued all the way to the second finale from July 1, 1988.

There's also still July 1984-May 1985 and April-October 1987 they have yet to show. It was in April 2000 that GSN was 2 episodes into the Markie Post & Richard Kline week (September 26-30, 1983), when they suddenly went back to the September 20, 1982 premiere.

So everything September 1982-July 1984, May 1985-March 1987, and November 1987-July 1988 has shown up, right? How much of the $100,000 Pyramid have they run?

No, nothing from September 28, 1983 to May 3, 1985 was shown on GSN.

All but two episodes of The $100,000 Pyramid were shown on GSN. The two in question were from January 15, 1988 and January 25, 1988.

Actually, the only episode that GSN has not rerun, in its history concerning The $100,000 Pyramid was the episode before Tournament #10 and as for The $25,000 Pyramid, they went all the way to the September 26, 1983 episode before going back to the very beginning(remember they had the Super Bowl marathon on January 31, 1999 which included an unsold pilot of Monday Night Quarterback).

Incorrect. I clearly remember them skipping over another episode of $100K Pyramid from 1988 (not just one), and that they were 7 episodes into the 1983-1984 season.

I'm sure the upcoming 1987 episodes are all part of the same lease as the 1985 ones they've been running, as just the 1985 shows, factoring in ones they've skipped, wouldn't exactly be an even number. Curious that they would fill the lease with 1987 weeks instead of just starting earlier in 1985 though.

One thing I didn't notice until now:

The Marcia Wallace & Michael Dorn week was designated as #1301-#1305. This was the 261st week they taped. However, it aired as the 262nd. So it looks like we're also gonna be getting the third of the four all-star weeks (September 21-25, 1987: Susan Blakely, Lynn Redgrave, Shelley Smith, Ken Kercheval, Markie Post & David Naughton) that they did in 1987.
