I thought for sure the final "season" of CBS Pyramid has aired. Is Sept. 83 - mid 84 the last chunk not to air on the network?

They started with the Alison La Placa & Tom Villard week (November 23-25, 1987), then showed the Battle of the CBS Soaps week (November 16-20, 1987), because they were going by production order. The lease then continued all the way to the second finale from July 1, 1988.There's also still July 1984-May 1985 and April-October 1987 they have yet to show. It was in April 2000 that GSN was 2 episodes into the Markie Post & Richard Kline week (September 26-30, 1983), when they suddenly went back to the September 20, 1982 premiere.
No, nothing from September 28, 1983 to May 3, 1985 was shown on GSN.All but two episodes of The $100,000 Pyramid were shown on GSN. The two in question were from January 15, 1988 and January 25, 1988.

I'm sure the upcoming 1987 episodes are all part of the same lease as the 1985 ones they've been running, as just the 1985 shows, factoring in ones they've skipped, wouldn't exactly be an even number. Curious that they would fill the lease with 1987 weeks instead of just starting earlier in 1985 though.
