Six new GSN original shows came out of today's unveiling. These include:
Hellevator: A horror-themed game show where contestants have to pass through a haunted and dark warehouse, in which they need to complete a series of scary tasks. Whoever makes it through, wins.
Steampunk'd: A competition series which features talented artists, designers and inventors who create "Steampunk" (which is described as a popular genre of science fiction and fantasy that combines modern technology and Victorian Age ideas.) Contestants will be challenged to create current, new ideas.
How-To-Games (working title): Using how-to videos to see how quickly contestants can pick up and repeat a number of tasks of various levels of hardness.
Bingo Bash: One lucky player each week is put up against online opponents of the already existing Bingo Bash app (a GSN app).
Winsanity: Contestants try to reorganize events and facts in numerical order.
Face 2 Face: A 21st century-based dating series.
Plus, the mystery project, if you will, that Danica McKellar was piloting for GSN is previously-announced series, App Wars.
In addition to this news, GSN also has on its development slate for 2015 sophomore seasons of It Takes a Church, Skin Wars and Idiotest. Plus, Baggage On The Road and the fourth season of The Chase are coming next year.
Remember, most of the shows listed in the upfronts usually do not see the light of day. Since 2012, only 11 of 30 shows have made it to air and only American Bible Challenge, The Chase, Skin Wars, Idiotest and It Takes a Church have succeeded into additional seasons.
