Wonder if Mr. Richardson changed his name.

Announcer/Model Schedule for January
Since announcers and models are being used on a rotating basis on Price, we often get questions from fans about who is airing when. Here is a schedule:

Episodes: 2745-2761 (1/5/04-1/12/04)
Announcer: Randy West
Models: Lanisha Cole, Brandi Sherwood, Rachel Reynolds

Episodes: 2762-2771 (1/13/04-1/19/04)
Announcer: Daniel Rosen
Models: Lanisha Cole, Shane Sterling, Rebecca Pribonic

Episodes: 2772-2775 (1/20/04-1/23/04)
Announcer: Berton Richardson
Models: Lanisha Cole, Shane Sterling, Rebecca Pribonic

Episode: 2781 (1/26/04)
Announcer: Randy West
Models: Lanisha Cole, Shane Sterling, Rebecca Pribonic

Episodes: 2782-2784 (1/27/04-1/29/04)
Announcer: Berton Richardson
Models: Lanisha Cole, Shane Sterling, Rebecca Pribonic
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Who is Daniel Rosen? Has he done any voice-over work that we might be familiar with?

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

He's the announcer for the TPiR Vegas Live Show.

Those models don't look like they're rotating enough. Unless they spend the whole show sitting on the turntable.

Let me say again that if you haven't yet, you really ought to go to CBS.com and send them an e-mail telling them your preference when it comes to a permanent announcer.  I happen to know that comments they get off the web site are not ignored.  They are seen by people in decision-making positions.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Yes, but has the general public been exposed to his vocal tones?

Good to know. I'll zap them something immediately with the recommendation that Bob Hilton be given a shot. Sure, he's certain to at least be in his 50s, but who's to know it since the announcers aren't shown on camera anymore? And really--would it be considered a venal sin by the 18-34 demo if they did know his age?

Personally, I'd love to hear Dean Goss.

Age doesn't matter. How much you are willing to be paid does.

Probably not for straight announcing, but he's been seen at one time or another doing a juggling/stand-up combo (and it's a little hard to do a stand-up routine without talking, unless you're Marcel Marceau).

Do we know yet that CBS wants a permanent announcer, or would it be easier for the network (certainly cheaper I would think) to continue rotating? I'm certainly not advocating rotating, but I'm curious to know if a permanent announcer is even a priority at Price?

I would guess a permanent announcer is easier schedule-wise.

I would suspect a decision either later this season or on/near the Season 33 premiere.

That I don't know, and I don't think any of us do. (cmjb13's analysis makes a bunch of sense.)  I'm also not saying they'll change their plans -- whatever they are --  because Tommy Charles tells them to.  I'm just saying that they do read and forward the messages to the appropriate people, so your opinion does get seen.

And I can say that Burton is doing the announcing on the February-aired shows (at least the ones that air in early Feb)

I was at a TPIR taping last week and can attest that Burton was announcing.

(Is it me or is Burton's warmup routine not quite perfected yet?)

You'll find out Tuesday morning.

I'm not going to prejudge the guy but it'll be interesting to see if he's a game show announcer or someone doing a caricature of a game show announcer.

According to his web site this guy is "edgy". Love that grunge look.
