GSN Schedule week of 12/1/14
« on: November 21, 2014, 11:11:42 PM »
We get new-to-GSN episodes of daytime syndicated Match Game with Jimmie Walker!  Although I'm not much of a fan of the syndicated episodes, it will be nice to finally see these "lost" episodes with a great panelist.

And the five Eubanks Christmas episodes of Card Sharks from 1986 are being skipped. Something tells me that there will be a marathon for 7 hours with Eubanks CS and Press Your Luck (1985 holiday episodes) on the schedule. There doesn't really seem to be much for GSN to potentially offer Christmas-wise with the current leases, other than those two shows.

I say "potentially", because GSN could still refuse to show the Xmas PYL eps. from 1985, just like how they refused to show the Xmas episodes of Sale of the Century from 1988.

Maybe Pyramid and SOTC have Christmas weeks. We'll find out soon enough.

Pyramid didn't have a Christmas week in 1987. CBS repeated the one from 1986.

Also, when USA aired $ale, they could only rerun 1 set of Christmas episodes and that was from December 1988. I wonder if Syndie $ale had mid-season rerun weeks along the way that now we're inching closer to the Winner's Board and the randomizer Fame Game era episodes.

I'll take a marathon of Eubanks CS and PYL on Christmas over what I predicted they'd do.

And what would that be?

I suppose we'll find out what are GSN's plans come next week. http://gsparadise.proboards.com/thread/836/gsn-schedule-updates-thread?page=10&scrollTo=14928

Someone on Facebook had said it would make fans of both classic and recent shows happy.  I predicted that one hour would be two classics, the next would be an hour of Harvey Feud, then two more classics, follwed by another hour of Steve, repeat cycle throughout the day.

I could see GSN do something like this (All times Pacific and Eastern, from a.m. to p.m.):

5/8: Card Sharks (#247) & Press Your Luck (#585)
6/9: Harvey Feud
7/10: Card Sharks (#248) & Press Your Luck (#586)
8/11: Harvey Feud
9/12: Card Sharks (#249) & Press Your Luck (#587)
10/1: Harvey Feud
11/2: Card Sharks (#250) & Press Your Luck (#588)
12/3: Harvey Feud
1/4: Card Sharks (#251) & Press Your Luck (#589)
2/5: Harvey Feud
3/6: Press Your Luck (#590 & #591)
4/7: Harvey Feud
5/8: Press Your Luck (#592 & #593)

In case you didn't realize, as of December 1 at 5:00 p.m. ET, the NBC version of Deal or No Deal is returning, starting from the 2005 premiere.  Makes me wonder if GSN had the rights to such series all this time, or if GSN re-acquired the NBC run?
I am developing classic game show PC games.
If you'd like to find out information about them, PM me anytime.

Did you report the post or bring it up Behind the Scenes?

By the fact that the GSN PDFs gone all the way to January 19-25, it looks like that we're finally going to see the premiere of the Winner's Board. To answer Vahan's question about the cash jackpot, the cash jackpot grew to $87,000 and it wasn't won before taking the cash jackpot back to $50K and stayed there through the rest of the run. Now, the episode that our own catnap72(yes catnap is still here) was the one who uploaded S-155 and the episode that Michael Tiller uploaded was S-156. Catnap was the same person who also uploaded the 4-part Dream House megamix and Laura Chambers' full $ale run(Laura's episodes aired from April 20-22, 1983 IIRC).
