On vacation for the week, and I brought along Carol Burnett's memoirs "This Time Together".
She writes of an incident on daytime Password in the early 60s, playing against Elizabeth Montgomery, where her civilian partner gives the clue "twat" for the word "tweet".
She cites that incident as the catalyst for Password changing from live on the east coast to taping in advance.
Confirm/Deny? It was certainly a new anecdote for me - and ranks up there with the Betsy Palmer "circle jerk" episode in gasp worthiness.
