I will add this speculation from the perspective of someone who is in the day-to-day drudgery of a TV station:
Considering the fact that you have a library of thousands of game shows you have to catalog, ingest to playout server, and then segment the programs for air (which would have to be done manually as opposed to auto-segmenting), I would say they're having a heck of a time staying ahead of the curve.
Maybe they're behind and the most logical thing to do to give them more lead time was to go back to the beginning and run what they already have again until they can get ahead on their workflow. I don't think it's anything to be worried about at this juncture.
The flip side to this point is: Why couldn't they hire more bodies to do said work? (My answer to that is cost, as is the answer to most things.)
