Match Game '7X contestant info
« on: January 15, 2004, 12:20:55 AM »
In a post I made last year on this board, I mentioned a male contestant on Match Game '75 named Ron who was on the show for five days, Well, one of my fellow posters wanted to know how much he won. So I went back over the MG '75 tape with Ron's appearences, and he won a grand total of $13,000!

And to GSWitch, maybe this bit of info will make you and your 'friend' think twice before making 'rash judgements!'

Cordially,
Tammy Warner--the 'Anita Gillette of the Big Board!'

IIRC it was a male contestant who had the longest winning streak, appearing in late 1976-early 1977(he was on the December 1976 which was the only instance of two men competing against each other on MG7x), winning nine or ten games.

Yes that's right.  He actually won 12 games, but only around $16,000.  He only won the $5000 Super Match prize once in 12 tries, most of the time just winning the smaller $1000 or $2500 prizes.
