TPIR on Canada's GameTV, but no more Talkabout and Split Second
« on: September 28, 2015, 03:30:57 PM »
In case nobody is aware, GameTV in Canada started airing The Price is Right at 10:00 a.m. ET (one hour before the new CBS airings) today.  It will also air at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Talkabout and Monty Hall's Split Second are both gone as of today, but Bumper Stumpers remains on the air.  I am not sure if Bumper Stumpers is now in the second end game era as of now.

For those in Canada who have GameTV, what was the original CBS airdate of the episode that aired on GameTV this morning?

I'm not in Canada, but I might be able to help you. What do you remember about the episode? What games were played? What did the turntable area look like?

Huwha? Jon is extremely flighty but it's not like he made any of this up. I think it's certainly worth knowing what episodes of a show that hasn't rerun here in 15 years are airing for our neighbors to the north.

First off, I am not a troll.  I am asking a useful question like a lot of other posters do.  If I knew I was going to cause trouble, I wouldn't have posted the thread in the first place.  I agree with Chad Mosher on his post.

And second, I don't have GameTV, as my cable provider doesn't have it on my lineup, yet - hence the reason why I asked.

For the record, TPIR airing on GameTV is from the Drew Carey era.  That's all I know, as the advertisement on GameTV's website shows his likeliness.

Here is proof.  Click the link, then the schedules tab. You'll see TPIR listed on the weekdays:

Do you live in or close to Canada? If not, that's probably why it isn't on your channel lineup.
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

I subscribe to Bell Aliant in St. John's, Newfoundland, and last I checked, GameTV is not available on its cable lineup.  I do believe Rogers Cable may have it, but not Bell Aliant in my region.  Unless I overlooked something.

EDIT: I just found out on Wikipedia that GameTV is airing the current season of TPIR.  I wonder if GameTV airs the day's episode before CBS does?

EDIT: apparently Bell doesn't carry GameTV on any of its systems at the moment. So I'll.concede. Still, I contend he could've found most of this info if he simply sought it out himself. And display pics can be misleading.

Well, now that I got one of my two questions in this thread covered, I am wondering what season of Bumper Stumpers is airing, as I cannot find the information on Wikipedia at this moment.  Are they currently in the second season?

Also, how many episodes were there in the first season?

Maybe you should point your browser toward a website other than Wikipedia or Game Show Forum to answer this question.

What exactly is the point of asking what episodes of Bumper Stumpers are airing on GameTV if you can't watch them in the first place? That would be like me asking what Buzzr was airing prior to FiOS picking it up.

And while I'm at it:

This thread notwithstanding, wasn't your claim that you can't possibly know if you're causing trouble when you post something?

According to a friend who has GameTV, a year or so ago they were running a small handful of shows from the first season into the ground... not sure if they've acquired any more past that.

That must be a new thing. As of ~1.5wks ago, GameTV was on Bell ExpressVu (satellite).

But still not on Bell Fibe, which I don't quite understand.  Why offer it on one of your services but not all of them?
