The game, hosted by Donald Faison ("Scrubs"), features contestants winning prizes for themselves and members of the studio audience by answering questions by ranking facts in numerical order.

Forty episodes ordered, scheduled to tape next year ...

Points to this thread for getting posted seventeen seconds before the other one.

/Yes, it's a game.  Everything's a game.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

So did anyone see either or both of the eps GSN aired tonight?  I'll avoid spoilers, but I thought it was pretty decent.

I'll get to it when I get home. I suppose it's an interesting way to wean the cable-viewing public on the idea of Aussie TPIR's showcase round.

/the format is fun enough, though I think some of the elements lose their magic when we can see them happening. Plus I'm not crazy about the gal who is the announcer/sidekick-she annoys me the same way JD Roberto did as TPIR announcer.
//I have no idea how the wrist band technology works, but I was impressed by it. It reminds me a whole lot of how The Better Sex would have done the end game in some alternate universe.

Basically, you try to put things in chronological order. Four rounds. There's an on-stage contestant and random audience members trying to win prizes. If the on-stage contestant screws up, they are replaced. A contestant with a perfect game gets a car. The host is pretty good, considering it's his first time hosting (that I'm aware of). I can deal with the hostess/announcer. One minor quibble I have is that the volume level of the audience makes TPIR looks tame.

I think overall this is one of GSN's better shows.

No cable over here, so all I have to go on is a preview clip from Youtube. Seems like a fun show with a lot of play along value.

Something about the energy seems a tad bit forced, though. Not on the level of (insert Endemol game show from the late-2000s), but just a hair...

Donald Faison could turn down the volume a little, as well.

I've uploaded an episode to YouTube so a friend could view it, but left it unlisted. I'll post it in the video section today.
Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?
Alex Trebek: I'd have to say To Tell The Truth, because it was the first time in my career that I got to sit down while I was hosting.

Maybe when Oprah gives away crap?

I'm glad that it's more than just the Showcase round from TPIR in Australia, but I think like Power of Ten and Millionaire I'm doing it wrong by watching solo.
