BUZZR Hits Cleveland!
« on: February 10, 2016, 01:11:40 PM »
I know of a few people on the North Coast who might be happy now...

Per a discussion on the Cleveland section of the Radio Insight page from today:

WEKA 27 has lit up with SBN on 27.2, Buzzr on 27.3 and Liquidation Channel on 27.4. So no Dr.TV or Telemundo, at least for now.

It is reported to be a low-power station, and is getting spotty coverage around the Cleveland area.

Low-power and in Canton.  Maybe Tim in Canton can get it.  There's no way the signal will be received all the way up here by the lake.

Actually, the broadcast antenna is in Downtown Cleveland per the thread below!!!  It's the primary COL/City Of License (Canton) that will not receive the signal as it is too far away.

Here is the link to the WKEA thread:  https://radioinsight.com/community/topic/dr-tv-and-telemundo-coming-soon/

/Had they waited until 3/15, the channel could have premiered on Buzzard Day in NEOH (the annual day that the Buzzard birds return to nearby Hinckley, OH -- Ohio's sign of spring).  It would have been a great way to promote the channel by a little play on words.  "Buzzr Day" on Buzzard Day.

Per FCC data, here's the actual location of the transmitter on Google maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/41%C2%B029'13.0%22N+81%C2%B041'01.6%22W/@41.4871651,-81.6832209,14z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0?hl=en

Time to rescan your TV's again.  Here is the latest update for Buzzr in C-Town:

February 13, 2016 at 9:38 am

Looks like WEKA has changed their virtual channel from 27 to 41. This could be not to confuse some TVs with another 27, WKBN out of Youngstown. So it is now the following on WEKA 41:
41.1 (Blank)
41.2 SonLife (Jimmy Swaggert)
41.3 Buzzr (Game shows)
41.4 Liquidation Channel (Shopping)
