Monopoly Millionaires Club - no more new episodes?
« on: April 02, 2016, 08:17:01 PM »
I know, I know - Monopoly Millionaires' Club is ending April 30, but last week, this week, and the next two weeks are reruns. (WSTR is preempting MMC at 8 pm next week for a soccer match.)

Will there be any more new episodes of this Daytime Emmy Award-nominated show?

Wow!   we are going to discover after the commercial break, it is really renewed.   (Are all starfleet doctors that bad are recognizing when someone is actually dead?)

This week's and next's MMC episodes are reruns...and that will be that for the show.

If they are running repeats, sounds like that was already that.

MMC might be gone, but it's not entirely dead.  Earlier this week, the Ohio Lottery started selling MMC instant tickets, priced from $1 to $10.  There is a drawing for a chance to go to Vegas for "the Monopoly Millionaires' Club experience", which sounds like an untelevised version of the game hosted by Todd Newton.  Reading the back of the ticket, it sounds like this is a multi-state lottery, not unlike the Wheel of Fortune experiences where a lottery winner has a chance to win big bucks.

Speaking of WOF lottery games, the Florida Lottery has announced another multi-state WOF scratch-off game. It's stated that the games will not be televised (or, most likely, won't be seen online).

Because they're not meant to be seen by a general audience.
