This is the Newlywed Game show,
Where Bob Eubanks is host...

Oh, wait, not that vocal version.

Someday I hope to be actually surprised by something on one of MeTV's "surprising" lists.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Not gonna happen.  I get the idea their trivia is written toward people who don't have a full library of books on the history of television, like us.

On a side note, at least about 95 percent of MeTV's trivia is accurate.  Eyes of a Generation just posted about Concentration today, and had two misses:  the year Hugh Downs took over Today, and the reason Bob Clayton was replaced by Ed McMahon - if it was because of "Clayton's leave of absence for an illness", that contradicts virtually everything else out there, including Hugh Downs' memoirs.

You weren't going in the direction I think you were going there...were you?
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

I was thinking of the old GSN promos from around 2002.

"It's the Family Feud,
It's feuding family fun
Our dashing host,
He kisses everyone"

and so on.

I know there was also one for the Match Game.

Okay, good. I had flashbacks to another lyrical connection with game show themes. :)

(I didn't have GSN until 2006 for the record and thus wouldn't remember such an ad campaign.)
