Fun fact: Jack originally showed his answer and the judges buzzed it as not a match.

Fair enough.

If the judges are looking for the "essence" of the answer, then that's fine.  But even so, not all nipples are part of boobs. I think that's where I would agree with their initial judgment.

Paging Marky Mark. In the context of the question, if it happened to the former, it would look a lot different than if it were the whole boob.

Did anyone else hear Alec under the music on the way to a commercial tell the contestants to give the dirtiest answer they could think of?

On the referee question, I'm disappointed nobody had

I had illegal use of hands, though during the commercial break, I came up with too many men on the field, which made me laugh.

For the Sarah Palin question, the writers were hoping somebody would answer beaver, right?

I had illegal use of hands

So did I, but thought that holding or offside would be a better "general answer"

That's what I thought too.  That's the definitive answer.

/Thought of a good one as I'm typing: illegal block in the back

I had come up with "roughing the passer". Those kinds of questions are fun, but there are so many things that fit.

For the Sarah Palin question, the writers were hoping somebody would answer beaver, right?
I was about to bring that up. I simply can't believe that not a single person said that. Also, during the Hillary question, I think it was pretty clear that "E-Mails" was the definitive answer. This show was lacking good panelists and good contestants.
Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?
Alex Trebek: I'd have to say To Tell The Truth, because it was the first time in my career that I got to sit down while I was hosting.

I guessed something along the lines of FUMBLING HIS BALL(S). And, yes, they must've wanted her BEAVER buffed.

Your second answer is one I also considered, and indeed thought funnier, but it would be perfectly reasonable of him to complain if it happened!

I thought the same thing. I recall hearing that the 70's panelists were told NOT to say some things that were beyond risqué. I'm wondering if this was a similar situation. After all, we did see some answers digitized out.
