A Betty White Christmas returns to Buzzr
« on: November 26, 2016, 12:04:01 PM »
Buzzr has started showing promos for "A Betty White Christmas." No firm details yet, but I read about last year's. Looking for to this since I didn't have Buzzr last year.

According to the schedules on Buzzr's website, the marathon is almost entirely episodes of Match Game on which Betty appeared. The primetime lineup from 12/19-23 is nothing but her Match Game appearances.

Finally, on Christmas Eve, they run a week of celebrity Family Feud from 1985 and an episode of Password from 1963. On Christmas Day, they're running two episodes of Password Plus from 1979, two episodes of To Tell the Truth from 1962 and 1964, and a What's My Line from 1955.

Does any of this appear to be new to the network?

Doesn't look like it. The Match Game and Family Feud episodes have all aired many times over, as have the black and white shows. The Password and Password Plus episodes aired in Buzzr's Valentine's Day marathon earlier this year.

BUZZR IS ONCE AGAIN DREAMING OF A BETTY WHITE CHRISTMAS!

It’s once again the most wonderful time of the year at BUZZR as the network hosts its 2nd annual A Betty White Christmas.  Better than a kiss underneath the mistletoe, BUZZR will bring TV viewers holiday cheer with a marathon of programming dedicated to the First Lady of Game Shows, Betty White.

From Monday, December 19th through Saturday, December 24th, fans of the retro game show network will have an opportunity to watch the young, whip-smart Betty White in action from 8:00 – 11:00 PM ET, with repeat festivities from 11:00 – 2:00 AM ET.  Then on Christmas Day, the Betty White episodes of Match Game, Password and Family Feud that aired throughout the week will be packaged into one marathon to be unwrapped throughout the day from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET.

For decades, White served as a witty and hysterical guest on numerous game shows.  Her frequent game show appearances even led to love in the 60’s, when as a panelist on Password she met show host, Allen Ludden, who later became her husband.

Holiday Ode to Betty

It’s the most wonderful time of the year
And BUZZR’s wishing you the best in holiday cheer.

BUZZR’s Betty White Christmas comes back every year
And starting Monday, Dec 19th it kicks into gear

It begins with five days of Match Game, see Betty at her best
Alongside Brett & Charles, and well … you know the rest

Gather the in-laws, cousins and the whole brood,
For up next comes Betty on Family Feud

On Christmas Day, grab your nog and hold on
‘Cause we saved the best for last, an all-day Betty marathon!
