I was just on ebay and stumbled across this item.  I found it very cool and thought you would all be interested in taking a look.

Wow. Proof that people will buy anything.

Neat? Yes. Worth $26.50? HELL no.

Er, Mark Goodman Productions?

Ah, the lost art of editing. (Or fact-checking I suppose; but All American should have known better...)

I'm mildly amused that all the captions on the actual photos - apparently put out by All American, no less - say the show is produced by "Mark Goodman Productions".

I'm even more amused at the thought of Mark Goodson being an MTV VJ.

Didn't Goodman (the VJ) host Illinois Instant Riches at one time, or was that a different Mark Goodman?

The same MTV VJ hosted IIR a decade later on WGN. Mark Goodman was the $100 response to _____ Goodman on a 1977 MGPM Super Match, by people who supposedly confused Goodman with Goodson, as Mark Goodman wasn't in the public eye until a few years later.

Speaking of press kits and eBay.  Did anyone on these boards get the Davidson Pyramid kit that was on a couple of years ago?

From painful experience, I recommend never opening anything marked "John Davidson" on eBay that includes a photo.

Believe me I understand.  The only reason why I would consider opening it would be if it is Pyramid related.

Hmmm.

All-American distributed the syndie version?

Never knew that.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

In its first couple of seasons, Feud was distributed by LBS.  This brings up two questions, albeit better suited for the Closing Logo Group, but...
1) When did All-American acquire MGP?
2) How did Feud end up an All-American property?  Was LBS absorbed into AA or what?

In fact, the Family Feud pilot that Ray Combs hosted had a "distributed by LBS" card and no mention of CBS.

They also used that odd sepia effect in introducing the families that they ended up using later on in the series.

Any other sort of differences? Was the set already established and all of that?
