IIRC, it was a match if the celebrity's answer was more specific than the contestant's, but not vice-versa.

If I remember the "School riot" episode right, they allowed the first specific that came up, but not any subsequent ones. That's why "College" matched for "School," but "Finishing school" and "Night school" didn't. I imagine the only reason "Scuba diving school" got allowed was because it was written as "Scuba diving [SCHOOL]."

I wouldn't have matched cousin with "relative", but I can sort of see why the judges were being quite lenient. There was a similar instance of matching Rosie's answer "Intern" with "Monica Lewinsky", but I think in that case, there was only one intern associated with Clinton, so I think in that case it was a good call.
