SNAP! Hosted by David Alan Grier coming this Summer
« on: May 04, 2017, 07:10:49 PM »
Hey everyone,

I got a corporate e-mail at the TV station I work for today that a new game show called "SNAP!" hosted by David Alan Grier will be tested for a 4-week run beginning on August 7th on select stations across the country:

Minneapolis-CW-5:30pm, 12:30am
St. Louis-ABC-6:30pm
Raleigh-CW-1:30pm
Nashville-MyTV-5:30-6pm
San Antonio-FOX-11pm
Salt Lake City-Independent-5:30pm
Greenville/Spartanburg, SC/Asheville, NC-ABC-10:30am
Austin-CBS-3:30pm
Las Vegas-MyTV-11pm
Oklahoma City-CW-1pm

Only other thing I heard was that it's being produced by Scott St. John.
Has anyone else heard anything?

Seems that St. John has gotten in bed with the Clear Channel iHeart of TV, Sinclair.

This is the first I've heard of it, but there is a "sizzle reel" of a "Snap!" game show on YT that was published more than two years ago. Not sure if it's the same show ...

Apparently, the VO woman thought she was auditioning to be the new voice of Siri.

Judging from the F-bomb in the first interview and a stereotypical "grape drink" question, assuming this is the same thing, I imagine this will get cleaned up a bit.

Sounds like Street Smarts meets Taxicab Confessions. :P

Bingo. Can I just have Frank Nicotero on HBO?
Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?
Alex Trebek: I'd have to say To Tell The Truth, because it was the first time in my career that I got to sit down while I was hosting.
