Well they were scheduled to have the first taping with the new host/letterboard/format tomorrow night, and I was booked in to see it, but last night I got a phone call saying that the taping had been held up due to a "technical problem", whatever that may mean, and the recordings have been pushed back about half a week.
In Tony Barber's autobiography, he says that when he took over as host, amongst another "revamp", everything was being slapped together haphazardly, nobody had a clue what was going on and the new format was being chopped and changed on the run. Whether similar dramas, and a similar disjointed nature to the show, will occur this time around remains to be seen.
First taping is now on Monday, I'm going to it, so I'll be sure to fill you all in.
