I'm Dying Up Here

If you have access to Showtime, the second episode of I'm Dying Up Here features a C-plot involving two of the characters going on the 70s version of Let's Make a Deal.  The game play is altered a bit to fit the story, but the actors they hired and the set they created are pretty faithful reproductions.
Portions of this post not affecting the outcome have been edited or recreated.

Not having access to Showtime, does an actor play Monty Hall or does he appear via digital trickery (or not at all)?

Played by an actor.  They didn't go for a lookalike, but the attention to period clothing and set detail is astonishing.

They handle The Tonight Show similarly, with vaguely recognizable character actor Dylan Baker playing Carson:
