A Match Game 76 ticket is worth this much?!

I wish I had that much disposable income.

Note that it says "pristine condition"....
Although I think that may be a little much even for a pristine condition MG76 ticket.
There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.

Holy crap!  Wow, I can't believe that.  I think I could make some and sell them!  J/K  I couldn't do that.  But that is absolutely crazy!

$285 for that ticket, mmm? Further evidence that P.T. Barnum was right on the money.

If it were possible to use the ticket to go back and see an actual taping of MG76, maybe. (It does say "unused" :))

OK, someone unbury Gene Rayburn and call Fred Wostbrock...  I will call Brett, Charles, Richard, Fannie, Betty, Bob, and Zha Zha.  Hey CBS, put the MG studio up and clean it...

Charles

P.S. If I was popular and have tons of money...

Yes, but the ticket does not guarantee admission, lol

Um, can't quite get over that disclaimer. Why not just release one ticket for each seat in the audience?

Most likely just like almost all other taped shows, they want to ensure a full audience.

This just really strikes me as mondo bizarre.  I know we have some ticket collectors on the forum.  Are Match Game '7X tickets really so rare as to command over a hundred dollars?
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

If you reeeeely want something it is worth a lot.  As soon as everybody who reeely wants one (19 people) has one the market will drop out.  There could be a good number of tickets out there, when you think about how many taping days there must have been for the six years or so it was on multiplied by the number of seats in the studio.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

 ~320 seats in 33
x 2 tape days per aired week
x 52 weeks/year
x 9 year run (approximating)
= about 300,000; not counting tickets which weren't used or excess tickets printed up by CBS.

Also take into account how many of those tickets were thrown away or are in anything less than pristine condition.

The thing that amazes me is that this is something that is SO EASY to forge. I mean, give me an hour and Photoshop and I can have one of those ready to go, which I will be happy to let go of for the low low price of $50 a pop.
