Ooh...so it is a real person. I remember there being speculation on here that WTN was a pseudonym for Jack Barry or Dan Enright, or a B-E staffer. Seeing he worked on “Blank Check”, I guess the B-E part is technically correct.

40+ years is a long time without a revival
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Ooh...so it is a real person.

That was precisely my first thought.

I really think a new show like my successful Rhyme & Reason - the #1 rated game show in 1975 - here in Boothbay with local, well-known personalities who are quick-witted and clever would be a lot of fun.

Hopefully nothing happened to the set.

My old theory that he was just Jack Barry with a paper bag over his head is now shot. :P  Got a kick out of the "highest rated game show of 1975" line.

I am amused to see he was one of the people behind Ricky 1.  Very bad Airplane!(-ish in style) ripoff.

Not "one of the people".  Merely the director, writer, producer AND editor.  Never heard of it (it's apparently quite obscure), and I used to live for these Airplane! style spoofs, if only to see how brilliant the original ZAZ team was.

The "Production" section of the Wikipedia entry almost sounds like a stone-faced Airplane joke.

"[T]he film was shot in 1983, but shelved until 1988. The movie's title screen shows a Roman numeral copyright of 1985."

I so wish the journalist would’ve been curious enough to ask a followup query as to why the #1 game show of 1975 ended in 1976.

Many moons ago I read an ad for some sort of an office device (perhaps copier?) where William Naud gave a glowing testimonial, the line stating he had some sort of connection with Warner Brothers. Bob Eubanks' book has some interesting details on Naud, including his tendency to meditate in the audience area before tapings to bring forth vibes conducive to more laughter. Bob also repeated the story that Goodson hated Rhyme and Reason so much that when Mike Brockman wanted Family Feud, Goodson made cancelling Rhyme one of the conditions for getting it. Interesting article, tho. Thanks for posting it.

The article had a couple of factual errors re "The Girl in My Life." It was a daily show on ABC.  He must have been the TN of TN Productions.

I wonder what Goodson had against Rhyme and Reason? Too much like Match Game?

It was dreadful and he didn't want it as a lead-in?
