Whoopi Goldberg getting back into game shows?

EGOT winner, "View" co-host and former "HS" center square Whoopi Goldberg looks to be dipping her toes back into the game show genre.

Deadline reports Goldberg has acquired the rights to create a U.S. adaptation of the Romanian game "Win Your Country".

The show is essentially a mix of Blockbusters and the board game "Risk", as contestants try to win as many U.S. states by showing off their knowledge of all things Americana.

Nowadays Global is owned by Shaw Communications... So I'm guessing they're not represented in that media conglomerate!  My guess if that it doesn't end up on CBC it's bound for a specialty channel.

OT: My neighbour was on Definition - by her own definition she was hopped up on Tylenol Threes and won a copper flambe pan (she lost).  Have tried for years to get the tape with no luck.

Definition was on CFTO, which is now the flagship of CTV, owned by Bell.
