Bill Cullen article from 1949
« on: May 04, 2019, 12:10:56 PM »
I stumbled across this article from 1949 about the late Bill Cullen.  Interesting to see some pictures and stories from his first marriage to Carol Ames:

https://tralfaz.blogspot.com/2013/07/bill-cullen-born-ham.html

There are other interesting articles mentioning Bill Cullen, including some where the central focus may be people like Garry Moore, Don Pardo, etc.

I remember Tralfaz as the real name of the stray dog Elroy Jetson brought home, better known as Astro!

EDIT:  THE WEBSITE IDENTIFIES THAT THE PICTURES ARE WITH SECOND WIFE ANN, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS INDEED CORRECT.  THE CAPTIONING UNDERNEATH THE FIRST PHOTO MENTIONS THE NAME "CAROL," GIVING ME THE IMPRESSION IT IS HIS FIRST WIFE.  IF ANYONE CAN CONFIRM THAT, PLEASE DO SO, AND I APOLOGIZE IF I GOT IT WRONG.

Knew he was best friends with John Reed King, but didn't know he was good friends with Todd Russell.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Actually, Ann was his third wife. Cullen's first marriage was brief and while he was still living in Pittsburgh. Carol was his second wife.
