TPIR 25th Annual Special -- Musings
« on: February 08, 2004, 09:43:59 PM »
Just pulled out a game show VCR outta my vault tonight and on it was the Price Is Right 25th Anniversary special.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Angela, the person who won on that 1996 Primetime CBS episode, was a dead ringer for former TTTT2K semi-regular and Dog Eat Dog hostess Brooke Burns.  Or is it possible that Brooke's real name is Angela???

Just an idle thought...

Wasn't she already on "Baywatch" by then?  Right off the bat she would've been ineligible as an A-A employee.

Per IMDB, she didn't start on Baywatch until 1998.  But she did have several guest shots in 1997 on Ally McBeal, so it seems unlikely.

Being on a game show might be a smart way to get noticed -- Linda Cardellini of Scooby Doo and ER appeared on TPIR before her career launched.  And even the production company will notice good people (Susannah Williams appeared on Super Password over a year before Card Sharks '86).

How do you think '80s Pyramid CCs Lisa Palmer and Gloria Chavez got their start? :-)

And Molly Gray and Tim Butler were contestants on Pyramid in the 80s and later worked on the show as a Production Assistant. Molly still works for Sande S. IIRC.

And that may or may not have led to....... a gig as cheerleader on an unsold pilot called Pot of Gold in 1981.

Lisa Stahl, TPIR94 co-host, was on Super Password in 1988.

Tim,

Back to the original question...yes, they certainly both look strikingly alike.  I don't think they are one in the same, but Angela is still in my Top 5 hottest TPiR Contestants ever!  (Brooke Burns would easily qualify if she too came on down - to my house!)

She also co-hosted the FL lottery show Flaming Fortune for most of its run...guess she needed some work after her character was written out of Baywatch Nights in the middle of its first season, LOL.
