4/7 Concentration--passing a turn

During game 1 of the episode that aired on 4/7, with 6 boxes left, a contestant chose a box which had a take.  She opted to pass her second pick because she thought there was no way she could match it.  Unless I missed something, only one wild card had been revealed that game.  How often did players pass their turn, especially that late in a game where only two matches and a wild card were still in play?  It seems like a move that would give the opponent a likely win which is what happened.

In the 1969 Challenge of Champions, Diane matched numbers 11 and 28 for a car. During subsequent (non-matching) turns, numbers 13 and 29 were shown to be forfeits. Diane then uncovered number 2 as a forfeit, and she passed. (Her opponent won the game.)

I think both wilds were gone at that point.

Going back, I only saw one wild card gone.

I can't say I've seen an episode of Concentration like tonight (4/8). I have a feeling that most of the country didn't get to see that episode, but those that did see it probably had a fun half hour in front of TV. I was rooting for Pat there, she seemed cool.

I am assuming all scenarios spin off of What happens when there are no more legal matches? A: They announce it as such and then then give each player a chance to guess. Then they turn the remaining pieces around it becomes a jump in.

And if both players are still stumped, they throw the puzzle out and no one wins anything or plays the bonus.

Third was whether or not they've had more than one puzzle bombed on the same show (they didn't guess the money game puzzle either when the whole thing was revealed).

One thing I found interesting was that at least in the first game, there were only 9 sets of merchandise prizes, along with 4 Wilds, 4 Takes, and 4 Bonus Numbers. I think Classic Concentration eventually settles on that once it stops doing free pieces, right?

One scenario I was wondering about:  in a 3-call game, if a contestant picks the Wild Card last.  Has this occurred yet?  I'd imagine Jack would ask which of the prizes they'd like and the other turns back?  Am I right?
