It's actually possible to do that with one 1967 night episode with Carol Burnett and Alan King.    The unedited B/W kinescope of that show has been in the hobby since the 90s (when I got it) and the edited color version was part of the GSN cycle (though I don't think the 67 night shows have aired since before the DP).

All of the 1974-76 run High Rollers survives, which I learned only about a year ago. I'm honestly shocked that an effort hasn't been made to digitize some chunk of it because of the amount of goodwill name value Alex's name carries now.

Who owns High Rollers? I know Hollywood Squares is now with King World; is that the case for High Rollers as well?

I would assume MGM, who also owns Hollywood Squares. (CBS owns the format rights but not the episode library.)

I know previews of new acquisitions are shiny and exciting but honestly?  The schedule's in a pretty good place at the moment as long as you don't take it for granted, and the money they could use for acquisitions (and most of what's left out there isn't going to be cheap) and time/money spent on transfers could easily be used to continue to bolster their existing lineup. 

Would it be amazing if they could make a deal with MGM for Marshall or Davidson's squares? Absolutely (caveat: Outside of stuff like Whew, Davidson's run of HS is one of the 2-3 shows I want to see again most and yes that's personal taste or a lack thereof); something like Celebrity Sweepstakes turning up would be incredible as a fan but likely cost more than the return on that money. And clearing up the licensing and legal issues with Hasbro to run Scrabble? Hoo boy.

You know what else would be phenomenal to see?  Any of the seven years of TTTT/six years of WML they haven't run.  Super Password from the last couple of years. Is the 1990 run of Let's Make a Deal available?  (Co production and Disney issues could complicate this). Password Plus from the Tom Kennedy era. Even something like Family Feud w/ Dawson, they've never run anything on the regular schedule prior to February 1980. Or go the other way and run the 1994 series.   If they want something a bit newer, what about the 2002 Beat the Clock reboot? It was honestly really good and they made quite a few episodes of it.  It'd be nice to see Bill Rafferty's two series get some love.

There's so much unmined material just within whatever they already have or probably have that they could keep it totally in house for a while still and still freshen up large swaths of the schedule.

Largely agreed. One thing that befuddles me about BUZZR is how new arrivals seem to get their episodes fast-tracked, while popular stalwarts that have been around for a long time get new episodes at a trickle if that. For shows with a licensed component, I’d be willing to think they just want to get their money’s worth while they have the rights. But even Supermarket Sweep got the same treatment for a while (though they seem to have dialed it back a bit), & that’s fully owned by Fremantle now as I understand. I get that they need a decent number of episodes in rotation for all the shows on the schedule, & they’ve been clear that it’s going to take a while to convert everything. But is there really a more of a market for rushed-out new episodes of Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour than for fresh-ish episodes of Press Your Luck, Password Plus, or Dawson & Combs Feud?

I would imagine that that's done with the casual viewer in mind. If a person checks in with Buzzr only once or twice a week, and assuming they'd change the channel if they realize they already know the outcome of the game they're watching, that's less likely to happen when there are 100 episodes of MGHS in the rotation.

Just a minor note to collectors, it looks like Call My Bluff won't be episode 1 after all. It appears to be the same test episode with Peggy Cass and Abe Burrows that's been in a couple of private collections for several years and reviewed on Mike's Pilot Light. Still looking forward to seeing the whole thing!

Call My Bluff, Number Please, Get The Message, & What's Going On? were all random general episodes while Say When!! & Split Personality were both pilots, correct?

Call My Bluff was a test episode prior to the actual premiere.
Say When was the premiere episode.
The UCLA archive shows Get the Message was episode #8.

I'd say Call My Bluff and Say When were the highlights for me.

As I was watching the "Lost and Found" marathon, I realized that all six shows presented had a connection with To Tell the Truth.

Let me break it down for you:

1.) The celebs we saw were all were all regular panelists on TTTT.
a.) Peggy Cass, Phyllis Newman, and Orson Bean on Get The Message. (Peggy was also on Call My Bluff.)
b.) Tom Poston, who hosted Split Personality.
c.) Kitty Carlisle and Hy Gardner on What's Going On.

2.) Sue Oakland (who was also on WGO) and Art James (who hosted Say When) were guest panelists on TTTT.

3.) Bud Collyer hosted TTTT at the same time as Number Please.

4.) Johnny Olson, who announced Get The Message and Split Personality, also did likewise on TTTT.

Ah, the Get The Message theme. Always reminds me the Village Stompers tune "Washington Square" for some reason. I kind of liked the Call My Bluff theme even if it is a derivative of the Missing Links theme (at least it was to me).
