I am not about historical accuracy when it comes to parodies either. However, I did not find it funny.

Now, if Mad TV stuck to representing MAD Magazine rather than becoming the "Poor Man's Saturday Night Live," I probably would have been more entertained by the sketch.

 I caught that too... they also started off the clip with the GSN logo and saying it was as classic PiR from 1977.  They may have just thrown up a date in the clip and did the GSN intro afterwards.

Either that, or they want to simulate GSN's "monkeying" by saying "1977" and displaying "1974".

I enjoyed it...really reflected how un-PC things were in the 70s, and despite the historical inaccuracies, the gags were pretty funny, IMO.

Oh BTW, plenty more GS sketches will be turning up on CC's reruns of MadTV (tonight's 5 PM show featured "Gimme a Clue") over the next coupla wks, so keep your eyes peeled!

 Would that be the one where Phil LaMarr can't get Nicole Sullivan (as "Antonia") to guess the word "cat?"

The whole setup is that Phil does everything he can to describe a cat, and Nicole/Antonia keeps saying "C-C."

Nicole: C-C's my cat.

I think that and the Anderson Feud parodies made for some of Mad TV's greatest game show sketches.
