Allow me to briefly "harumph," "kids these days," etc. ...
Seeing this
tweet from Buzzerblog:
S2E02 of The Chase USA is called "I Can Smell Your Fear From Here." I have a feeling I know who the Chaser will be.
... it got me to noticing that many, if not most, of the U.S. prime-time game shows now running have catchy one-off episode titles. Did this start when ABC got into its revivals, and why? Does it really help ratings?
Fred: Hey, Ethel, lookit what TV Guide says for The Chase this week ... "I Can Smell Your Fear From Here."
Ethel: Fred, you big dolt, are you fallin' for that again?
Announcer: Little do they know that this week's guest chaser is Lucy! It's more a curiosity than an annoyance, but I haven't seen any discussion of it.
P.S.: Not just America ... there's Taskmaster, of course, and "Absolute Casserole" is an absolute winner of an episode title.
