One interesting part of the Vulture article (at least to me) was about how Winc. "had signed on to represent Jay Wolpert and producer Burt Sugarman and were trying to get them back in front of viewers". Heck of a chance encounter by the channel's GM, huh? Anyway, it makes one wonder if these Whew! reruns do well, you think we'll see other Jay Wolpert Production Shows in the future such as Blackout and Shopping Spree (assuming Winc. can gets their hands on the tapes, of course) or would these aforementioned titles be too obscure even for Buzzr?

I always thought "Charge!" would be a decent name for a revival.
Already being used as the name of a broadcast diginet.  I was thinking "Breakthru"
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

I always thought Run the Gauntlet would make a good name.

First Twitter promo:

And methinks they're getting the wrong response to that promo, since they've already pulled it from the network and replaced it with a new, less disturbing promo...

when the folks in creative services/promotions has 1000% committed to their promotional strategy even when the new campaign mostly just makes people ask "WTF" and/or unintentionally offends people.

I think Buzzr’s promotional department took the “close calls…narrow escapes” spiel out of context.

With a library of close wins from a variety of shows they air (Body Language, Super Password/Password +, Sweep, NYSI, Classic/Narz Concentration, etc.), I'm surprised they just didn't put together a supercut of some of those and have some someone exasperate a "Whew!" at the end.
Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?
Alex Trebek: I'd have to say To Tell The Truth, because it was the first time in my career that I got to sit down while I was hosting.

I took JJ's idea and put it together with similar ideas I had.  I did in half an hour (for free, mind you) what BUZZR couldn't do for more than free.  Ta da.  I don't usually do stuff like this but BUZZR's promos for Whew! have been bizarre and just downright bad, like nobody there had looked at its newest acquisition.

Nice promo.

You have 10 unique villains...Incorporate one or two of them in each promo and ditch Miss Muffett.  They should be focusing on the Gauntlet of Villains in their promos.

It's like trying to promote Press Your Luck with no mention of the Whammy whatsoever.

They finally did do a decent promo (using show clips) during P+, I'll share it here later tonight.

EDIT: Here it is... the promo they should've been running since they announced the pickup.

Well done. I had a similar idea in mind...close wins with only a matter of time left on the clock. Why they decided to take the bizarre route, I have no idea.

First, thank you for the kind comments.

Second, I really expected you to complain that I used a form of Arial in the video.  I know how much you love that font family. :-P

1. You're welcome.

2. I honestly didn't even notice until you said something. My "love" must've softened over the years. :-P
