Maybe they wound up on Newlywed Game '97.

I want to know if Tom Kennedy’s matchmaking worked with Kathy and Richard.

That moment did get me to thinking. Has there been an instance where two people met because they were contestants on the same game show, hit it off, and eventually got married? Even if they weren't necessarily opponents but were simply in the contestant pool on the same taping day?

(This question excludes dating shows. Or maybe includes them; I don't know how successful those shows were in creating lasting relationships.)

Can't recall the source, but I've heard that two PYL contestants (not necessarily same show, but in the green room on the same taping day) hit it off, got hitched, and then (can't recall if it was the husband or wife) one of them was a contestant on Eubanks CS, with their spouse in the audience cheering them on. I believe their names were Perri and Mando.

The PYL episode guide. Apparently Mando appeared in early-86, while Perri appeared on CS.

Perri was on PYL too, and both of them won a game within 2 shows of each other. Yes, Mando won over the contestant who defeated his soon to be wife, in fact. Talk about destiny...

I don't know exact numbers but there's been at least two or three marriages as a result of Jeopardy contestant pools.  Here's a story about one: https://www.insider.com/jeopardy-contestants-fell-in-love-married-2020-1

On Thursday's episode, it's the first time that I recall seeing a blocker take a vertical strategy and block the same dollar amount on all five levels. And he had success, too.

I think another blocking strategy that might have been successful would have been to alternate between $10 and $20 on each level, if you thought the contestant was going to go low.

On the very first round on the first episode, Julie Brown went straight up the $30s.

I know there are ways to look these things up, but I also know people are tracking these things here, so: Catching up on my Whew! processing for the last couple weeks, minus missed episodes (damn power flashes)...can I get a little help confirming episode numbers? This is what I think is right:

Week of 11/1-11/5: 120, 121, 121, 122, 123
Week of 11/8-11/12: 124, 125, 126, 127, 128

Do I have it? I lost Tuesday's episode due to power flash so I'm recording that again Sunday and yesterday's was corrupted for some weird reason (dunno why, not fussed over it) but I can process the rest and catch up if this is right. Thanks!

(Based on earlier conversation, this may be wrong, so a little help here would be great.)

Okay, so that skipping did happen. That plus my still missing 126 explains why there was such a jarring jump between those two shows. Thanks very much!

(Hmm, when did they air 127? Was it during some other marathon?)

It was during Lost & Found right after the pilot.
