Yep.  They offered me the prop $1M check after the show, but I was happy with the one I had!
So did they go ahead and give you that $1M prop check anyway?
You obviously do not have the skills to comprehend simple words.

Yes. They physically jammed it into his pocket, and said "Dammit, you WILL take this fake $1,000,000 check, we printed it with your name on it and if you DON'T take it home with you, we will HUNT YOU DOWN where you live and STAPLE IT TO YOUR FOREHEAD."

Really, tell me, 'cuz I honestly want to know, do you have to work to be this utterly clueless, or does it come naturally?

Jeez, guys, who peed in your Cheerios?  I agree it was a dumb question, but there's no need to be so hostile.

It's not like he led a 14-card straight after you called Grand Tichu, Chris.

Note that any checks over $100K on Super Millionaire have to be fake. Per the rules, any prize up to $100K, and the $100K of any prize over that, has to be sent to the contestant within 30 days. The remainder of a $500K prize is a 10 year annuity, starting a year later, and for any prize of $1M or above the remainder is a 20 year annuity, also starting a year later.

This is correct.  And that staple, which is coincidentally still lodged in my forehead, allows me to pick up AM radio stations.  It's very entertaining at parties.

Lemme break down the conversation:

GSG2K: "Did they give you the check?"
TOB: "No, they asked me if I wanted it, but I did not."
GSG2K: "Ah. So did they give you the check?"

Unless this is his homage to Steve Martin in "The Absent-Minded Waiter", that's just ludicrous. I wouldn't be nearly as steamed if this wasn't par for the course with this guy.

No, it's more like if he pulled Captain with nothing whatsoever to ship and I end up rotting all of my stores as a result.

(Actually I suppose that could happen and not be considered a dumbass move. But I digress.)

Did this create a problem with Ingram running to the bank before they knew anything about the coughing?

No, since they still had the check when the problem w/Tecwen Whittock's "cough" was discovered.

They're fake. Note that there are no electronically-readable numbers cross the bottom.
