OK, finished looking at the pictures. What sound was used in the Front Game? The traditional Ding, or the Blip (Fast Money reveal)?
They used the standard "CLANG!" sound, synched with the reveal of the appropriate answer.

Did the answers flip, or were they revealed, a la the Fast Money reveal animation?

What, is there an echo in here?

They revealed. The Ferranti-Packard board does three things:

1) display and invert the logo, which if you look closely is made up of simple geometric shapes in each character space

2) display alphanumeric characters

3) display a completely-turned-on-block to incidate a concealed character.

It does not animate.

OK, that's a little better. Never saw the shows.
