When was the last time you'd seen a moment where a losing contestant showed his/her own hurt feelings during the broadcast. Last week, a lady contestant (whose name was April January, no joke), didn't win on syndicated Concentration and just wouldn't look at the camera, with a frown on her face, in the closing moments, even though host Jack Narz, and the other contestant waved with smiling faces.
I recall a very angry contestant on Alex Trebek's Double Dare, openly arguing about how the judges should've told her how specific she had to be. Instead of saying "The Washington Post," she'd said "The Post." They then asked for a more specific answer. All she said was, "it's a newspaper," and was ruled incorrect. After returning from a commercial break, Trebek explained that she needed to be specific, and the contestant angrily said, "you should've asked for the city!"
Of course, who could forget the sore loser on GSN's Friend or Foe, when his partner chose Foe and got the entire pot of money to himself after they worked together to build it up. The loser was bleeped audibly and visually at the mouth.
